How to Contact Preserving the Past

  Over twelve
  Memory Albums were
  created & assembled as
  part of the project for
  Dr. Juliet Rohde-Brown.

This photo, taken in 1957
did not survive the years very well.
Notice the crack down the middle,
various scratches, yellowed tape
residue at the bottom, staining,
yellowing and fading.

Memorabilia assessment,
selection of museum-grade
materials, and assembly &
display of WWII pieces
create this Memory Box®.
Film transfer of
four hours of 8mm
and Super 8mm film
dating from 1958 to 1972
for Mrs. Sandra van Berkhout. Entailed cataloguing and
describing all footage via
visible timecode, constructing
an edit sheet and editing the
final transferred footage to 1.5 hours including narration
by Mrs. van Berkhout.

Watch as we simulate digital reconstruction
of this photo, finishing with the original and
the final image we provided.

   Having assembled
an album of
photographs,
   letters, stories and
memorabilia for WWII
vet, Mr. Frederick
Martin Rohde, we then
videotaped his oral
history, interviewing
him as he viewed
pictures he hadn't
seen since 1944.
