Preserving the Past

Homemovie Transfers & Preservation — Another item often found in
many photograph collections is homemovies. Generally, you will note a
light vinegar smell when you open the canister. This odor means it is
imperative that you transfer that film to another medium and get the
film in proper storage. We can do that for you! We will get the film
transferred, edited, add titles and music or narration, and provide the
client with a videotape or dvd! It is important to know, whether we do
the transfer or you go to another company, NEVER THROW AWAY YOUR
ORIGINAL FILM ELEMENT. At this point, videotape only lasts 10-12 years
and the fate of digital recording is not yet known. In the proper conditions,

Photojournaling — After we have finished the organization and creative assembly of your memory albums, we will give you a photojournaling consultation. We'd love for you to take time to sit and write your own stories. Handwriting is a very personal part of your history to be passed down. It is important not to worry about proper prose or writing with error. The most important idea is to get the story out of your head and heart and on to paper! This added touch will bring warmth and a sense of connection when your children and grandchildren see personal accounts in your own handwriting.
